2 Stones Events has teamed up with Marrow in the Market, a fantastic new venue in Detroit’s Eastern Market, for a unique series pairing live music with a four-course dinner.
We’re limiting the Dinner & Music Series to just four shows per year! Each event will have Executive Chef Eddie Moreau creating a menu inspired by the music you’re hearing live that night. The first event (12/11/25) featured Holiday & Motown tunes from Ben Sharkey and a Detroit-themed menu.
Next up, a Mardi Gras theme on 2/19/26 brings Cajun flavors paired with the New Orleans-style of the Paxton Spangler Band.
Cinco de Mayo (5/5/26), our third event, features Latin-inspired courses and music from Aguanko. Finally, jazz (9/3/26) gets its own surprise celebration of food and music from an all-star lineup of Detroit players. (Click HERE for tickets to any of these shows.)
There will be two separate seatings at 6:00 and 8:30 p.m. per night. Each ticket ($105 + $8.89 fees) includes 90 minutes of spectacular live music and a fabulous four-course dinner (20% gratuity); drinks available à la carte.
#2 Mardi Gras - Paxton Spangler Band - Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026
Lifelong buddy's RJ Spangler & Tbone Paxton started working together in 1980 in the popular Detroit band the Sun Messengers. They toured the East Coast, Midwest and deep south for a number of years. Back then, Tbone was awarded a Motor City Music Award for best trombonist. Since that time, he has also become quite an engaging vocalist. Spangler can be heard on more than 70 nationally available CDs. The two are cornerstone members of the Planet D Nonet and as such have toured 11 states, released as many CDs and garnered nine Detroit Music Awards.
Now they offer Paxton Spangler Band, which has released two CDs. On any given night the Paxton Spangler Band performs many New Orleans-style tunes as well as great song by Fats Waller, Hoagie Carmichael, Leonard Cohen, Hank Williams, Earl King, Danny Barker, Duke Ellington, The Stylistics, Roy Ayers, Leon Russell, Jimmy Cliff, Nat King Cole and, of course, Louis Jordan.
Click HERE for tickets to either the 6 or 8:30 pm shows.
