Take the CHURCH CHALLENGE!

If your church is like most, you’re always looking for ways to raise funds to help cover costs for a variety of expenses:

*Mission trips *Community outreach *Structure upgrades *Benevolence money for those in need

*Utilities *Overseas evangelism *Mortgage *Etc., etc. - the list, as you know, goes on and on.

So, how would your church like the chance to receive some much-needed money – possibly several thousand dollars – just by attending a concert by Fernando Ortega, a Christian pianist, composer and arranger who will be performing at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, June 15.

The show, presented by St. Joseph Mercy Livingston, is a partnership between the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce and 2 Stones Events – and we want to give every church in Livingston County the chance to receive 10% of the concert net proceeds.

How? It’s simple: Encourage your fellow parishioners to attend this fabulous concert. We’ll have a table set up in the lobby where they can let us know which church they attend. The church with the highest ticket revenue will receive a check from us!

Tickets are priced $20, $35 and $50, and we have a very limited number of VIP tickets that include a private post-concert meet-and-greet with Fernando Ortega and a signed poster. They’re available HERE:

Best known for his unique interpretations of traditional hymns and songs like “Give Me Jesus” and “Be Thou My Vision”, Ortega is a master songwriter, crafting passion and personal experience into his work. He brings the influence of Latin music and culture to contemporary Christian music. With classical training and a respect for his family’s Hispanic heritage, Ortega composes his own clear and easily understood creations infused with flavors of country, classical, Celtic, Latin and folk music.

"My records,” he notes, “have always been about how the Gospels find expression in a person's everyday life -- the sorrowful, the mundane, the joyful."

Ortega has released 15 albums and has won three Dove Awards. As an added bonus, for this concert Ortega will be joined by cellist Cara Fox. Click HERE to hear some of Ortega’s recordings.

This event (which also includes a food drive for Bountiful Harvest) is a great opportunity for you and your fellow parishioners to see an incredible Christian musician AND bring some new funds into your church. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the chamber’s director of events, Sophia Freni, at events@brightoncoc.org or 810-227-5940.

Thank you!
